What's worse than starting in a new high school? NOTHING! Jere Johnson, formerly a BMOC at a suburban high school in Chicago, finds himself at the bottom of the social pool at Julius Erving High School in south Philly. His family moved back to the city when his mama took charge of the neighborhood Baptist Church.

Now, Jere comically navigates the treacherous waters of a new school, a new inner city school — where he's treading water with a few new friends. A school that is quick to judge the "Preacher's Kid."
